Consultations with Civil Society Organisations (CSO)

The mandate of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) includes taking special measures to ensure that Aadhaar is made available to poor and marginalised sections of society, such as street/orphaned children, widows and other disadvantaged women, migrant workers, the homeless, senior citizens, nomadic communities including tribal, and the differently-abled. To fulfill this mandate, the UIDAI continues to hold wide range of consultations with individuals and organisations representing these vulnerable groups.

In the coming months, UIDAI plans to continue CSO consultations not only on a state by state basis, but also with a number of special interest groups representing education, health, women and children, migrant labour, tribal, dalits, differently-abled, elderly, etc. If you have any comments or suggestions for our CSO outreach efforts, or are interested in organising and/or participating in CSO outreach meetings in your area, please drop us a line at This email address is being protected from spambots.
