The residents who have lost their EID, can know the EID by calling 1947 (Toll-free). CRM operator shall collect the basic demographic data and if demographic information provided by the resident matches in the records, the operator provides the EID to the resident. After EID is communicated, the resident is advised to call 1947 again and get the Aadhaar through IVRS by providing EID. However, if the resident does not provide proper & correct demographic information, he/she may not get the desired information related to EID. If mobile number is linked with Aadhaar, using EID the resident can check status/download e-Aadhaar from the portal. Also resident can visit the nearest Aadhaar center and get a copy of the e-Aadhaar by using the Print Aadhaar service by providing their EID and mobile number.

Submission of information does not guarantee update of Aadhaar data. Changes submitted through Update Aadhaar online Service are subjected to verification and validation by the UIDAI and after validation only the change request is processed further for Aadhaar update.
