Aadhaar Seva Kendra

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has set up exclusive ‘Aadhaar Seva Kendra’ or ASK as a single stop destination for all Aadhaar services for the individuals seeking to enrol and Aadhaar number holders. The ASK will offer dedicated Aadhaar enrolment and update services in a state-of-the-art environment.

In the first phase of the Aadhaar Seva Kendra project, UIDAI has opened Aadhaar Seva Kendra in 78 districts across India. These include dedicated centres in all metro cities, all state capitals and Union Territories. These ASK will run along with over 66,000 Aadhaar Kendra already being run by banks, post offices, BSNL and state governments.

Aadhaar Services available at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

Aadhaar Seva Kendra offer a comfortable air-conditioned environment to individuals seeking to enrol and Aadhaar number holders. All ASK are wheel-chair friendly and have special provisions to service the elderly or specially-abled. ASK are open all 7 days of the week from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (IST).

Individuals seeking to enrol and Aadhaar number holders can visit any convenient Aadhaar Seva Kendra for the following services:

  • Aadhaar Enrolment
  • Update of any Demographic Information in their Aadhaar - Name, Address, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile number or Email Id
  • Update of Biometric data in their Aadhaar – Photo, Fingerprints and Iris Scans
  • Download & Print Aadhaar
  • Document update (POI and POA)

These services are available for any individuals seeking to enrol and Aadhaar number holders of India (including NRIs) at any Aadhaar Seva Kendra across the country.

Online appointment for Aadhaar Services

Along with the Aadhaar Seva Kendra project, UIDAI launched the online appointment booking facility for individuals seeking to enrol and Aadhaar number holders. All UIDAI-run Aadhaar Seva Kendra follow the online appointment system where any individual seeking to enrol or Aadhaar number holder can book an appointment for Aadhaar enrolment or update at any convenient ASK.

Any individual seeking to enrol or Aadhaar number holder can book an appointment for themselves or a family member from https://bookappointment.uidai.gov.in/ . This is a free of cost service where a individual seeking to enrol or Aadhaar number holder does not require Aadhaar registered mobile number. However, one individual seeking to enrol or Aadhaar number holder can book a maximum of 2 appointments in a month.

Service Process at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

As per defined model per district, the Aadhaar Seva Kendra have 4/8/16 operator stations with the capacity to handle up to 160/320/640 service requests per day.

The ASK follow an online Appointment Management System (AMS) for an individual seeking to enrol or Aadhaar number holder who choose to book their appointment prior to visiting. At ASK Token Management System (TMS) for booked appointments and for the walk-in appointments for individuals seeking to enrol or for Aadhaar number holders at the ASK is enabled. The last token for the day is given at 5:30 pm everyday.

Charges for Aadhaar Services at Aadhaar Enrolment Centre

UIDAI has defined the charges to be paid by any individual seeking to enrol or Aadhaar number holder wishing to avail Aadhaar Services at any Aadhaar Enrolment Centre of their choice. These are:

Aadhaar Enrolment: Free

Aadhaar Update Charges

(1) Biometric update: Update of enrolled biometrics (fingerprint, iris and photo)

(i) If done first time between the age of 5 to 7 years: Free#

(ii) If done first or second time between the age of 15 to 17 years: Free#

(iii) If done otherwise: ₹125* (*If done between the age of 7 to 15 years: Free, till 30.9.2026)

(2) Demographic update: Update of enrolled name, gender, date of birth, address, mobile number or email address, or any combination of the same

(i) If done at the same time with biometric update: Free

(ii) If done separately: ₹75

(3) PoA/PoI Document Update (Submission of documents as proofs of identity and address, in support of the name, gender, date of birth and address as enrolled)

(i) At Aadhaar centre: ₹75

(ii) Using myAadhaar portal (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/du): Free (till 14.06.2026)

(4)  Aadhaar Search using eKYC/ Find Aadhaar/any other tool & colour printout on A4 Sheet)

(i) Download Aadhaar & Coloured Print: ₹40

# Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) shall be stand-alone transaction only; it may not be clubbed with any other transaction
