The Regional Office (RO) serves as UIDAI's public-facing branch at the regional or zonal level. ROs are pivotal in maintaining effective communication and coordination between local administration, state offices and headquarters. They are responsible for implementing UIDAI policies and regulations, providing technical support to state governments and the public. ROs also collaborate closely with state and union territory nodal officers to ensure ongoing Aadhaar enrolment and update activities, aiming to achieve comprehensive Aadhaar coverage across all demographics. Additionally, they coordinate with empaneled registrars to ensure seamless enrolment and update operations.
